Annual Bookgbag Giveaway
As part of our "Investing in Our Future" initiative and our community service efforts, CCM supports local events at our community schools through sponsorship. Each year thousands of children across the nation are forced to go back to school lacking the necessary basic tools for a successful school year. There are many circumstances that lie at the root cause of this concern.
We at CCM recognize the importance of having those basic necessities for our students. In collaboration with Consolation Help & Outreach Center, Inc., a local non-profit organization, we hold an annual "Book Bag Giveaway" in different locations throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta area providing 100 book bags to the local children in the area. The book bags are filled with supplies such as paper, pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, composition notebooks, etc. We also provide hot dogs, chips and drinks for the children and the parents or guardians who bring them to the event. The only stipulation is that the child or children must be present to receive the book bag.
Our efforts are simple........to provide local children with the tools necessary for success in school. After all, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."
